I believe the failure of the government's monetary policy has led people to price their goods and services in foreign currencies. Imposing regulations that force individuals to use an unstable, untrusted currency undermines their confidence in its ability to hold value. After all, the primary purpose of a currency is to serve as a reliable store of value.
